It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!!

The tree has been up for a few days now...the boys put the ornaments on by themselves!   You can tell which little boy decorated the bottom row of branches...he was very proud of himself.

Sick-o's in the House!!

**He is feeling much better! P.S.  These are his new Christmas jammies ..we gave them to the kids early since its been pretty nippy lately. Its a good thing we did too...he was quite cold last night with the 'fever shivers'!

Thanksgiving went off without a hitch however Friday evening I started to feel very ill.  Fever, and nauseated beyond belief....went to bed at about 6pm and spent the rest of the night and early morning worshiping the Porcelain Queen.  I spent all of Saturday in bed sleeping or tossing and turning....I felt much better by Late Saturday afternoon, but by early afternoon Sunday, my sweet little LiLi was not.  He spiked a fever and vomited and was restless all night.  By this morning he was entirely a new man just as demanding as ever and just as ornery as before!!  I hope the rest of this Kirschner clan can avoid it!  I am prepared though...plenty of Tylenol, sprite, Lysol, and toilet paper on hand and I dug out every heating pad and refillable ice pack we own!!

Thanksgiving 2010

FYI....These pictures are not my actual pics I found them courtesy of the web...my camera was still missing!  This is a pretty accurate interpretation of what happened though!!

This year was like most of the past six Thanksgivings....usually we cook and enjoy our own feast the night before as a family and then go to my friend's house for the actual day since Bill always works on Thanksgiving.  This year we decided to just not go through  the hassle of cooking and went out for steak dinner the night before instead...it was marvelous..we ate and enjoyed ourselves and then came home and watched the new 'Karate Kid' with the boys...great family time.  On Thanksgiving Day the boys and I were invited to my friend Noel's home for dinner (they have adopted us Thanksgiving orphans..LOL)....I got up early prepared two pumpkin crunch pies, one for us to enjoy at home and one to take to Noel's.  I went and took a shower and by the time I returned to check on the cooling pies Liam had dug into one..I guess he could not wait!  At least it was only one of them and not both!  We enjoyed the evening with good food and great friends...and it was nice to come home to an already clean kitchen! ;0)

Bill's Pinning/Graduation from the Radiology Tech Program!! Yippee!!

He worked so hard to get to this night...so very proud of all his efforts!!

About three weeks before Thanksgiving Wyatt performed in the 'Storytellers Festival'...it was a volunteer event and the kids had to pick there own material from several different types of Children's Literature. Wyatt chose his in folklore..I do not remember the name of the story he chose (great mother, right?), but he spent many hours in the two weeks prior memorizing it.  Unfortunately he did not win the event, but I was extremely impressed as he was one of few who got through the entire story without forgetting a line or backtracking...that is hard.  He spoke clearly and fluently through out and did not seam to be nervous.  If this is any indication of how he will handle public speaking I think he has nailed it! All the children did very well and I commend them for the courage to get up there and perform in front of an audience!;0)

Happy Halloween!

    We Trick-or-treated at Billy's work Friday night...the kids went through over (estimating here) 200 cubicles..if not more!!  They received so much candy that we decided to stay home on Halloween night and give out candy this year. Usually we are gone so we don't hand any out...the boys loved this and had so much fun!  Liam was so excited to see all the different costumes right at our own front door!  It was not our typical Halloween and we will probably be hittin' the pavement early next Hallow's Eve...but this was by far my favorite!


**Sorry ther is no picture of Liam in his costume...he totally had a melt down about having his picture taken and they all turned out blurry...He was a muscle man Spiderman...you will have to use your imagination!
