Finally an Update!!

Lost Tooth!

Jack has finally lost his first tooth!!  He is almost 8 years old and in the 2nd grade...Wyatt was around the same age when he lost his first tooth.  I was much younger when I lost mine....the dentist said that the longer a child goes with out loosing a tooth the better it is for the permanent teeth.  I was all ok with this theory until I looked in Jack's mouth and found that his permanent tooth had already started to come in behind the baby tooth...so there was nothing pushing on the baby tooth to loosen it up.  He let me wiggle it and was a trooper when I applied pressure and pulled it out.  I never want to do that again...I am sure there was some pain but he handled it well.   

   

The permanent tooth was quite aways back from where it actually should have came in but so far it has moved forward a lot and has filled the spot well...it is however an enormous front tooth compared to the rest of his teeth.

A good day for Jack!

Jack came home from school today with this cute little gingerbread house from his reading teacher, Grandma Tanner.  He was so excited about it...and I just want to tell her thank you for all the time she volunteers with the kids.  Jack has not had the easiest time learning to read...its a work in progress, but with people like Grandma Tanner, its getting easier for him everyday!

Jack's CHRISTmas Performance!

My handsome little man at his CHRISTmas performance today.  He was so cute and was very excited that Daddy actually got to attend this one!!

Mommy made him clean it up all by himself....

and he has yet to do it again..I hope it stays that way!

We TRY,  and emphasis on try, to play boardgames with the kids as much as possible...sometimes it ends well and sometimes it ends with hurt feelings and calling one another 'cheaters'!  This day ended well with Jack as the winner!!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!!

The tree has been up for a few days now...the boys put the ornaments on by themselves!   You can tell which little boy decorated the bottom row of branches...he was very proud of himself.

Sick-o's in the House!!

**He is feeling much better! P.S.  These are his new Christmas jammies ..we gave them to the kids early since its been pretty nippy lately. Its a good thing we did too...he was quite cold last night with the 'fever shivers'!

Thanksgiving went off without a hitch however Friday evening I started to feel very ill.  Fever, and nauseated beyond belief....went to bed at about 6pm and spent the rest of the night and early morning worshiping the Porcelain Queen.  I spent all of Saturday in bed sleeping or tossing and turning....I felt much better by Late Saturday afternoon, but by early afternoon Sunday, my sweet little LiLi was not.  He spiked a fever and vomited and was restless all night.  By this morning he was entirely a new man just as demanding as ever and just as ornery as before!!  I hope the rest of this Kirschner clan can avoid it!  I am prepared though...plenty of Tylenol, sprite, Lysol, and toilet paper on hand and I dug out every heating pad and refillable ice pack we own!!
